ScoliCare certified providers
Scoliosis Evaluation and Treatment in Lake Nona
Non-surgical scoliosis care for children, teens and adults in Central Florida. Our doctors are ScoliCare certified, and every patient receives an individualized plan that includes exercises, bracing or intensive therapy.

Results vary by patient.
Why early detection matters
Finding scoliosis early gives you more care options. We begin with a postural screening and, when indicated, refer for imaging to measure the spinal curve accurately. Starting care sooner helps shape the plan and the results.
Signs to look for
- Uneven shoulders
- One shoulder blade more prominent than the other
- A visible curve in the spine
- Hips or waist that look uneven
How we care for scoliosis
ScoliBrace
A custom-made brace built for the patient's curve pattern, designed to guide the spine toward a more natural position. Suitable for children, teens and adults.
ScoliBalance exercises
Scoliosis-specific rehabilitation designed around the curve, delivered with ongoing coaching.
Intensive therapy
Structured, higher-frequency programs based on the CLEAR technique, with the goal of reducing the curvature when possible.
Surgeon referral when needed
When a curve calls for a surgical opinion, we refer to trusted orthopedic surgeons.
Real scoliosis results
Full-spine X-rays of one of our scoliosis patients, before and after care. Curve size is measured as a Cobb angle.

Scoliosis questions
How is scoliosis diagnosed?
Diagnosis combines a thorough history, a physical assessment of posture, movement and the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and analysis of X-rays and other imaging when needed.
I have been diagnosed with scoliosis. What should I do?
If you are concerned about the diagnosis or the treatment you were given, get a second opinion from a scoliosis clinician. Many people are told surgery is the only option. Non-surgical options exist, and we can walk you through them.
When do you brace scoliosis?
We brace when there is a high chance a curve will progress without a brace, or when a patient has the opportunity to improve with bracing. Bracing is typically recommended for curves above 20 degrees, and every plan is individualized.
Do you treat scoliosis in adults?
Yes. We offer options for every age, from scoliosis-specific rehabilitation with our ScoliBalance program to custom ScoliBrace bracing.
Are scoliosis braces effective?
In many cases, yes. A ScoliBrace can be used to reduce pain, to stop a curve from worsening and, if the curve is flexible enough, to reduce it. Results vary by patient.
Can exercise fix scoliosis?
No standard exercise routine has been proven to reduce a curve or stop it from progressing. Specialized scoliosis-specific programs such as ScoliBalance are designed for the curve itself and help in certain cases.
If I have scoliosis, will my children have it?
Scoliosis is partly genetic. If it runs in your family, have your children screened regularly, especially during growth spurts between about 8 and 15 years old.
What scoliosis methods do you use?
Our doctors are trained in ScoliBrace, ScoliBalance, CLEAR, Pettibon and Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP).
